Our current Vice-Chancellor, Sir Alan Langlands, has indicated his intention to stand down at the end of this academic year after seven successful years in post. We are therefore seeking to appoint an exceptional leader to build on the University’s many achievements, enhancing our position at a time of significant change in higher education in the UK and around the world.
An astute strategist, with strong leadership skills and highly developed intellectual acuity, the successful candidate will have the experience, track record, clarity of vision and management acumen to provide direction in a world-class academic environment. Values driven and with good interpersonal skills, the successful candidate will inspire and engage with staff and students, and extend our global reach, impact and reputation.
