The Opportunity

The School of Chemistry is recruiting for a casual Teaching Technical Officer to provide a range of professional and high-quality technical services and assistance to staff and students within the school. 

As a Teaching Technical Officer, you will apply theoretical and technical knowledge to perform a range of tasks, including; managing the day-to-day operations of the laboratory, setting up and maintaining equipment and undertaking experiments/field trials, data collection and analysis.

Selection Criteria

We are looking for an applicant with the following:

  • A tertiary qualification in chemistry or substantial relevant skills and work experience

  • Sound analytical, technical and data analysis skills and a demonstrated capacity to apply effective technical methods, processes and systems

  • Experience with research or laboratory technology including equipment and software or a demonstrated ability to quickly adapt to and learn new systems
