Human Capital Directorate invites applications for the position Talent Management Specialist reporting to Manager, Talent Management. This position requires an energetic and enthusiastic individual which will support with developing and implementing career development plans and succession plans across non-academic Business Units based on a defined framework, while focusing on top talent and critical positions. In addition, the incumbent will lead learning and development strategies and programs across non-academic business units, in order to enhance employee knowledge and skills through defined learning and development interventions. Candidates should have an outstanding record of industry experience, and possess the qualifications necessary to be successful in the role of Talent Management Specialist. The successful candidate will develop career development plans, in coordination with line managers, and determine the learning requirements in order to ensure that non-academic employees are being adequately equipped to grow within UDST. Candidates will provide support with managing career development and progression initiatives (rotations, trainings, career path progression), and ensure that they are aligned with the learning and development needs of non – academic employees. Candidates will coordinate with the relevant stakeholders to identify critical positions, determine the need for successors, and identify high potential candidates who will go through a career planning and development program. S/he will also work with potential successor candidates, to support them through the succession planning program. Candidates will coordinate with Talent Acquisition to ensure the integration of career plans with sourcing initiatives, implement the competency framework for UDST, in coordination with Workforce Planning as well as, support the development of learning and development methods, tools, plans and catalogues, in alignment with leading practices Candidates will design non-academic employee development programs aimed at developing and retaining high potential employees and Qatari Nationals, and coordinating with relevant stakeholders to implement the programs across the different business units by providing guidelines and tools. Candidates will coordinate the university’s orientation programs for the non-academic new hires in collaboration with the relevant stakeholders. S/he will design the content and materials for the orientation programs as well as, manage the onboarding process of new hires in collaboration with Talent Acquisition to ensure a proper integration of new hires into UDST. Candidates will provide support in managing the annual learning needs analysis across non-academic business units based on performance review and a competency-based assessment; identify gaps when needed, ensure proper documentation and follow-up. S/he will also develop an annual learning plan for non-academic employees, in coordination with line managers based on learning needs assessment, and determine learning delivery methods to ensure learning needs are being addressed and learning objectives are being met. Furthermore, candidates will ensure that the Learning and Development plans are in line with the established budgets for each Business Units in collaboration with Finance. Candidates will also collect feedback from learning attendees on content, instructor and logistics through post-learning feedback and surveys. S/he will also coordinate with external training providers to ensure training programs are being delivered in alignment with the objectives. QualificationsEducation and Certifications: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field required Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in human resources, talent management or related field. Language: Fluency in written and spoken English language is required Fluency in written and spoken Arabic language is preferred
Other Required Skills: Ambitious and self motivated team player with a high standard of professional integrity. Good knowledge understanding of discipline and conflict resolution management, performance management, talent development & management, Labour Law and legal compliance. A proactive can-do attitude to work and good time management skills are essential. Reliable and dependable with a desire to lead by example and an ability to juggle multiple priorities without compromising quality A proactive can-do attitude to work and good time management are essential. Analytical thinking, effective problem solving skills and the ability to develop effective working relationships across all levels of the organization is required to be successful in this role.
