Your role

As a Sourcing Specialist you are responsible for proactively building talent pipelines, ensuring that when a hiring need arises, the university already has a pool of qualified candidates for quicker and more efficient recruitment. You support the search for hard-to-find specialized talent who might not be actively looking for job opportunities. You are passionate about cultivating meaningful relationships between stakeholders and top talents. Making a great impression is what you do on the phone, online, and in person.

You can engage with anyone. You love hearing about others’ research experiences and sharing your excitement about advancing groundbreaking projects.

How You'll Make a Difference:

  • Collaborate with Hiring Managers: Work closely with hiring managers and leaders to understand hiring needs and develop sourcing strategies to cultivate robust talent pools
  • Creative Sourcing: Utilize multiple methods of creative sourcing, including networking, cold call recruiting, and leveraging modern tools such as AI-driven candidate sourcing platforms to optimize sourcing efforts and maximize results
  • Stay Updated: Remain updated on research dynamics and adopt best practices in talent acquisition and sourcing methodologies
  • Proactive Candidate Searches: Identify potential matches for open positions
  • Interview Participation: Participate in candidate interviews and assessments to judge suitability for designated positions
  • Leverage Social Networks: Use social networks to engage with target talent pools
  • Effective Reporting: Deliver regular updates and reports on sourcing activities and outcomes to relevant stakeholders

During peak times, special projects, or urgent hiring needs, be responsible for recruitment activities such as screening resumes, conducting initial interviews, and facilitating the hiring process.

Your profile
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources or a related field required
  • Several years of recruitment experience, ideally with a search/headhunting background
  • Proven track record in developing creative sourcing strategies
  • Hands-on experience with sourcing techniques, e.g. recruiting on social platforms, crafting Boolean search strings, utilizing AI tools
  • Demonstrated expertise in candidate assessment and resume screening
  • Great at talking and connecting with people, with a talent for building relationships and making candidates feel comfortable
  • Commitment to promoting diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunities
  • Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus
