Job summary

 

To assist the Student Records team in dealing with enquiries from students, with the maintenance of student records for both undergraduate and postgraduate students and also providing routine correspondence to students, sponsors and academic staff in the College’s departments. To prioritise routine work to adjust to the various cycles in the Registry year or to meet unexpected demands.

 

Duties and responsibilities

 

 

    • You will be responsible for producing letters for students, such as statements of attendance and council tax certificates. There will be engagement with external stakeholders such as SLC and HEDD.

 

    • Managing updates to student records after receipt and approval of appropriate documentation (including interruption of studies, transfers and withdrawals).

 

    • You will also be communicating with students both in writing through a dedicated Student Records inbox and via the telephone.

 

 

Essential requirements

• Knowledge of UK Higher Education records processes.
• Broad experience, acquired through a combination of job related training and considerable on-the-job experience, demonstrating development through involvement in a series of progressively more demanding relevant work/roles. 
• Experience of using databases to store and retrieve information.
