Job Description/Summary

  1. Sources possible vendors locally and abroad for the goods and services required by the University
  2. Prepares and analyzes purchasing documents for the processing of purchase requests in a timely, cost-effective and cost-efficient manner.
  3. Evaluates commercial proposals for presentation and recommendation to the respective Procurement Category Officer
  4. Conducts regular due diligence activities necessary in validation of pricing and product trends, validation of vendors for accreditation, and in staying abreast with sourcing and evaluation tools.
  5. Consolidates and categorizes requirements according to level of spend for recommendation  to the Procurement Category Officer resulting to effective management of purchase orders and or contracts.
  6. Carry out effective communication through harmonious relationships with suppliers, internal and external end users to ensure resolutions involving procurement concerns, issues and challenges are in place.
  7. Presents weekly, monthly, and trimestral report on the status of Purchase Requisitions (including BPAs, Biddable items, and Importation)
  8. Performs such other tasks germane and analogous to the functions enumerated above or as may be directed by the Procurement Services Director in the general interest of the Office
