Senior Research Co-ordinator, Health Innovation Hub Ireland

Specific Purpose Whole Time Appointment to June 30th 2026

The Senior Research Co-ordinator will have the responsibility for managing the UCC- based Health Innovation Hub Ireland (HIHI) Programme, including operations, facilities, finance, information management and reporting, with particular focus on delivering KPIs and Metrics for the UCC unit. The HIHI Senior Research Co-ordinator will play a pivotal role in managing, supporting and delivering projects within the HIHI portfolio and in particular will work closely with the Munster Technological University HIHI team to deliver on Cork based HIHI projects. S/He will also support the wider HIHI partnership (in Dublin, and Galway).

HIHI projects require working with companies or individuals to assess and test their products in a clinical location, assessing new ideas or concepts for commercial potential and developing and delivering the HIHI education agenda in collaboration with HIHI partners at Munster Technological University, University of Galway and Trinity College Dublin. The HIHI Senior Research Co-ordinator will be required to engage externally with third parties across the spectrum of healthcare, businesses and government, ensuring the objectives and goals of HIHI are delivered.
The Senior Research Co-ordinator will lead HIHI’s engagement with large multinationals, external enterprise and funding entities, to drive collaboration and income generation, particularly through EU and non-exchequer funding.

The Senior Research Co-ordinator will support the Director of Health Innovation Hub Ireland to achieve the agreed strategic and administrative goals of HIHI. S/He will provide high level coordination to HIHI projects to maximise outputs and synergies and will ensure the work within the centre meets good practice, ethics and data protection standards. The Senior Research Coordinator will oversee the day-to-day operations of the UCC HIHI office, infrastructure and equipment, and is responsible for implementing the UCC Health and Safety protocols within the office.

The Senior Research Coordinator will have 5+ years of experience in the management of multi-disciplinary healthcare projects, have expertise in product development, commercialisation and implementation of solutions in a healthcare location and evidence of academic teaching/programme development.

Salary: €75,000 p.a.
