Senior Project Officer (Paediatrics and Child Health)

Employment Type: Full - time (35 hours a week)

Duration:  1 Year Fixed Term

Remuneration: $100, 331 p.a.  (+17% super and leave loading)

Visa: Full working rights are required for the duration of the contract

Location: Kensington, Sydney. 

Why this role matters  

The Senior project Officer plays a key role within the Discipline of Paediatrics and Child Health in providing high level practical and efficient project support for the BRAIN AID research team. BRAIN AID is a Cerebral Palsy Alliance funded program of research to develop and deliver clinical guidelines and resources explaining advanced neurotherapeutics.

This role, based within an interdisciplinary inclusive research team entails providing project management, project reporting, quality assurance, supporting project teams and initiating and overseeing project deliverables.

Who you are:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification with subsequent relevant experience or equivalent competence gained through any combination of education, training and experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a high level of attention to detail for deliverables produced.
  • Demonstrated success working effectively and collaboratively on initiatives with a range of people at different levels within an organisation.
  • Experience revising and submitting Ethics applications.
  • High level communication skills and ability to network effectively and interact with a diverse range of students and staff.
  • Excellent time management skills, with a demonstrated ability to respond to changing priorities, manage multiple tasks and meet competing deadlines by using judgement and initiative.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and productively within a team, but also to take initiative and work independently while managing competing demands.
  • Evidence of highly developed interpersonal and organisational skills.
