You are going to do this

An enormous building assignment awaits us in the coming years. Because the campus - over 161 hectares - is our own territory with its own real estate, as a project manager you always have a direct link with the users. You do not work on behalf of third parties, such as in the regular construction world. No, you connect one-to-one with the scientists and management of the university about their wishes and requirements if a building has to be built or renovated. You know how to translate their often complex questions into a concrete plan.

Based on the quality to be achieved, the budget and the planning, you make a proposal for the organization and organization of the project. You then put together a strong project team from, for example, colleagues from the departments of Management and Maintenance, Strategic Campus Management, Facility Management and IT. You also organize the tenders and hire consultants such as architects, constructors and building physics consultants. You take charge from the start of the project up to and including delivery and evaluation.

Whether it concerns the renovation of the parking garage or the construction of a new catalytic lab for chemical research, several projects are always playing at the same time. Various project managers are on it. You as a senior are responsible for the large projects or a composite project. You keep a total overview, guarantee integrality, monitor overall planning and daily management, and continuously check whether the guidelines and procedures are followed. At the same time you think about professionalization and you lift the Campus and Real Estate management to a higher level.
