Senior Assistant Manager in Programme Management

Responsibilities

 

1. Peer Helping Programme (PHP)

  • To plan, manage and conduct ongoing evaluation and improvements to the peer support programme for undergraduate and graduate students to ensure its relevance and effectiveness
  • To train and develop existing and new peer helpers to ensure that they are equipped to carry out their roles and responsibilities to support fellow students
  • To work closely with the UWC Counsellors to provide clinical support and consultation to the peer helpers
  • To manage the Hang-Out Place (HOP) to ensure its conduciveness and relevance
  • To plan new initiatives and promote collaboration with members of the NTU community and external agencies as part of the PHP outreach efforts

  

2. Outreach Efforts

  • To formulate partnerships with NTU stakeholders and external agencies on the promotion or development of initiatives to promote mental health and wellbeing
  • To manage and track budget usage

  • To prepare management reports at periodic intervals for submission to UWC Head.

        

3. Development of mental health and psycho-educational resources

  • To plan, develop and facilitate the production and distribution of psycho-educational resources for the NTU student and employee communities
  • To design and conduct surveys and collate feedback from stakeholders to develop and/ or improve psycho-educational resources and initiatives by UWC

 

4. Training Development

  • To plan and coordinate requests from members of the NTU community for mental health and wellbeing-related talks, workshops or training in an effort to augment skills and knowledge of students and staff.


5. Media and Public Relations

  • Coordinate requests from internal or external media (print, online or broadcast) and work closely with Corporate Communications Office, when necessary
  • Manage relationships with NTU stakeholders and external agencies on sponsorships, interviews, projects or assignments.

 
Qualifications
 
  • A good degree in the social sciences such as psychology or behavioural/ human sciences is preferred
  • Minimum 6 years of experience working in the mental health, social service or education sector

  • Experienced in planning and organising talks, workshops and training on mental health or wellbeing issues or conditions

  • Familiarity with student affairs in higher education will be advantageous

  • Independent yet a good team player with excellent interpersonal skills

  • Self-motivated, resourceful and flexible in adjusting and responding to changing priorities

  • Possess professional values that are in line with the code of ethics of a professional body such as SASW, SAC or SPS.

  • Proficient in most Microsoft Office application software

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, planning and organizational abilities, sound knowledge of IT tools and good networking skills

  • Ability to prioritize and plan work activities in an organized manner, able to multi-task and work under pressure, track and deliver assignments on schedule

  • Personal initiative and team spirit in the effective implementation of projects
