Universiteitsdienst - Human Resources Management

 

In order to realize its objectives, TU Delft aims to attract and develop scientific talent from the world top. The Human Resources department (HR) plays a distinctive role in this by striving for as much tailor-made support as possible. Key words here are: professionalism, commitment and quality. The HR organization consists of a number of central components, such as HR Development & Mobility and HR Services, and HR Advice, located within the faculties and the University Corporate Office. The personnel policy as formulated in the HR strategy 'Freedom to Excel' is focused on leadership development, talent management and organizational development, with HR tools that contribute to strengthening education, research and valorisation.

 

HR Services is the HR Shared Service Center of TU Delft and consists of the following teams: 

Team Processing is concerned with the operational handling of personnel processes such as entry and exit, all personnel changes and personal requests in different HR systems. 

HR Contact Center (the 1st and 2nd line team - also called tier 1 and 2) answers questions from TU Delft employees and managers by e-mail and telephone about, among other things, legislation, collective bargaining agreement, TU Delft policy on employment conditions and legal status , salary, employment, vacation and leave, career & development, health & welfare and healthy & safe working.

 

Expert teams:

 

    • The Working Conditions and Legal Position Team is engaged in policy preparation, policy implementation and recording of employment conditions and answers third line questions in the field of legislation, collective labor agreement, TU Delft employment conditions policy, legal position and remuneration.

 

    • Team Information Management is responsible for the functional management of the HR ICT systems and the execution of HR ICT projects. And provides HR reports and analyzes.

 

    • Team Communication advises on and supports the management and content of the staff portal and the TU Delft website, draws up communication plans for the rollout of projects or policy, monitors and edits the content and procedure of HR news reports.

 

    • Team Coming to Delft Services & Partner Career Advise is responsible for providing services to international employees and their families during the recruitment, appointment, onboarding and hiring process.

 

 

Job description

 

As a senior employment adviser you work within HR Services / Team Terms of Employment / HR Contact Center. You report to the team employment conditions / HR Contact Center. You work with 1 senior terms of employment advisor and 2 advisers employment conditions advisers together.

 

The Senior Adviser makes policy proposals for the entire focus area of terms and conditions of employment (Collective Labor Agreement, TU Delft schemes) social security, pensions, law gatekeeper, UFO and remuneration. The Senior Advisor implements schemes that are new to or have an impact on the organization.

 

The Senior Adviser carries out calculations for illness and disability, WW / BWNU and social plan / VSO departure scheme. 

 

The Senior Advisor gives advice and answers questions about the application of regulations and procedures that deviate from a regular application. The Senior Adviser also supervises the correct applications of regulations and employment conditions and discusses this if it is not the case.

 

Requirements

Conditions of employment

 

The function has a size of 38 hours per week (1.0 FTE). It is an employment contract initially for the duration of 1 year. The salary is based on scale 10 of the collective agreement for Dutch Universities with a minimum of € 2,709 and a maximum of € 4,274 gross per month for full-time employment. You will be scaled based on knowledge and experience. You accrue pension via the ABP pension fund.

 

Besides of course the holiday allowance in May, you will receive an end-of-year bonus of 8.3% in December. You can also compile a part of your terms of employment package yourself with the help of the Individual Terms and Conditions package, including buying and selling leave hours.
