Casual Professional - SALUS Safety Support AdministratorApply now Job no: 516585 Level 5 The SALUS Safety Support Administrator will play a key role in the provision of efficient and effective day to day administrative support within the Division of Planning & Assurance in the adoption and support of Salus, the Universities new online Safety Management System. The role reports to the Safety Coordinator (Project Salus) and has no direct reports. Specific accountabilities for this role include: • Coordinate and manage a broad range of administration practices and reporting systems to support the successful implementation of Salus. • Develop effective communications with key stakeholders to support the process of design, development, and implementation of initiatives. • Support and coordinate efficient data migration of risk management forms and safe work procedures. • Liaise with users, the IT function and/or vendors to enable the investigation and documentation of reported issues and their solution. • Identify issues and/or defects and work with relevant stakeholders to secure a timely resolution. • Undertake relevant reporting and utilise Safety data to support recommendations and provide advice. • Align with and actively demonstrate the UNSW Values in Action: Our Behaviours and the UNSW Code of Conduct • Cooperate with all health and safety policies and procedures of the university and take all reasonable care to ensure that your actions or omissions do not impact on the health and safety of yourself or others. A person engaged is generally expected to have the following skills and experience: • Relevant tertiary qualification with subsequent relevant experience or equivalent competence gained through any combination of education, training and experience. • Proven time management and organisational skills, and the ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines. Ability to plan, organise and co-ordinate projects and tasks. • Well-developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated experience providing effective customer service and support to clients at all levels. • Highly proficient computer literacy with excellent skills in Microsoft Office applications. • An understanding of and commitment to UNSW’s aims, objectives and values in action, together with relevant policies and guidelines. • Knowledge of health and safety responsibilities and commitment to attending relevant health and safety training.
