The Opportunity

This Research Officer role is an exciting opportunity to join the recently founded Molecular Physiology of Microbial Pathogens lab, headed by National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) Investigator Dr Rhys Grinter.

Reporting to Dr Grinter, the successful candidate will support lab operations and perform various research activities related to Grinter lab's NHMRC and ARC-funded research program.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting Grinter lab research outcomes by undertaking a range of research and administrative support tasks. They will contribute to lab excellence by keeping abreast of developments, activities and protocols related to lab research through the scientific literature and liaison with staff and peers. They will assist in preparing lab documentation and reports.

The candidate will have a tertiary qualification in a relevant field, or substantial relevant skills and work experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
