Clinical Pathway Research Manager (KTP Associate)

Do you want to be part of a project that will transform the applied use of products throughout the maternity sector? Do you have relevant clinical and research experience? Are you educated to Postgraduate level?

and the University of Leeds have an exciting opportunity for you to ‘fast-track’ your career in industry by leading a project that will make full use of sector-best, evidence-based clinical research methodologies to improve both existing products and bring innovative and new ones to market. Through a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) between Lansinoh and the School of Healthcare you will spearhead a team that focuses on developing and validating a robust ‘Clinical Care Pathway’ (CCP) for breastfeeding related issues that will significantly improve new mothers breastfeeding outcomes by assisting in the prevention, identification, and management of latch-related nipple conditions in the early postpartum period.

Currently, there is very little research that is focused on understanding nursing mothers' experiences of latch-related nipple conditions, their self-care practices, or how these conditions affect their breastfeeding experiences. As a KTP Associate you will be responsible for addressing these knowledge gaps through analysis of historic datasets, the implementation of robust and controlled research methodology generating consumer-experience based data, the publication of high quality, peer reviewed guidance documents and the development and integration of publication strategies within the business.

As a KTP Associate you will be based at the Lansinoh premises approximately 4 miles from the University of Leeds and will be integrated into the Global New Product Development (NPD) team. This team drives the innovation and new product pipeline for the entire Lansinoh business, including cosmetic, over the counter and medical device products. You will work alongside key departments within the business including Sales & Marketing, Regulatory and the Professional Healthcare team who have a wealth of industry experience focussed on improving maternal outcomes. You will also have access to a specialist academic team from the University of Leeds that will provide a first-class knowledge base upon which to build your research.

Working at Lansinoh you will have the opportunity to work at a global company and industry leader, who offer a range of products to support breastfeeding and post-birth recovery. Its flagship product is the market leading and No. 1 recommended breastfeeding nipple cream worldwide, trusted for over 35 years. Lansinoh have also expanded their core product portfolio to include a variety of breastfeeding support products including electric and manual breast pumps, breastmilk storage products and nipple care products, many of which are market leading in their category.
