The Opportunity

The Faculty of Engineering and the Department of Materials Science and Engineering have an exciting opportunity for a Research Development and Strategy Manager (RSD Manager) to play a vital role in the development, planning and management within the Metallurgy and Corrosion Cluster. The RSD Manager will develop this cluster to achieve its full potential. You will build relationships, implement and monitor research strategies.

The Research Development and Strategy Manager will have:

  • Expert knowledge of management of materials research
  • Expert knowledge related to the nuclear sector
  • Experience with the management of nuclear materials research
  • Experience promoting the public profile of research groups
  • Postgraduate qualifications within the relevant area
  • Significant experience in developing research portfolios, groups and grant proposals
