The Office of Research and Innovation at the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, University of Copenhagen, is looking to recruit a research advisor. The Faculty is in the process of buying and implementing electronic lab notebooks (ELN), and the research advisor will take a leading role in securing the successful implementation of the project.  


About the Office of Research and Innovation 

The Office of Research and Innovation is a well-functioning and productive office with 30 employees. The position is based in the research support section, which currently employs 11 people.  


We work closely with the Faculty management, departments and with individual researchers on matters relating to research funding and research funding strategy. We value being known as a service-oriented, efficient and competent administration. 


Your tasks 

  • Ensure the successful implementation of electronic lab notebooks (ELN) at the faculty, through liaising with faculty management, Heads of Department, academic staff and external actors 

  • Contribute to the annual production of ‘SUND Health Report’. This involves collating and presenting information on the faculty’s research funding, collaboration with industry, bibliometric data etc.  

  • Support to management including collating and drafting responses to public consultations  

  • Monitor grant opportunities and editing research funding website, newsletters and other communication tasks 

  • Plan, organize and report from events and seminars, incl. workshops on how to write grant applications 

Key skills and competences 

  • A solid background within health or natural sciences preferably with postdoc experience and/or with experience in research administration 

  • Good coordination, planning and organisational skills with the ability to develop, plan, and implement goals to meet tight deadlines under time pressure 

  • Ability to handle many short- and long term tasks simultaneously 

  • Good knowledge of IT systems, including experience of working with databases   

  • Ability to write in a clear, concise and engaging way for a variety of target audiences with a high level of accuracy in Danish and English 

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate clearly with colleagues on all levels within and outside the organisation

Salary and terms of employment 

The terms of appointment and payment are in accordance with the collective agreement between the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations and the Danish Ministry of Finance. Negotiation for salary supplement is possible. 


The position is expected to be filled at the level of Special Advisor (specialkonsulent). Commencement as soon as possible and at the latest by 1st of June 2019.
