The Center for Information Technology (CIT) of the University of Groningen is a leading national and European center of expertise in the field of information and communication technology (ICT). With around 250 employees, the CIT manages the required facilities and supporting processes for around 31,000 students and 5,600 employees. In line with the university's strategic plan, the focus in educational IT is on active learning and on campus training; the focus in research IT is on human data and Big Data technologies. These are on top of excellent IT infrastructure to support staff and students, including business management systems.

Job description
The complex organization of a large university is your field of work. Together with colleagues from the information security field you contribute to increasing information security. This leads to large-scale change processes that, in addition to technical challenges, sometimes require a great deal of interaction with users.
As a project manager you manage university-wide IT projects, where you are responsible for all aspects of project management.

Job requirements
minimum HBO / WO working and thinking level
at least 5 years of relevant work experience
experience with innovative IT projects and in the field of IT
relevant experience with large, complex organizations with associated decision and advice structures
knowledge of and experience with project methods such as Prince2, Scrum and Agile
experience and affinity with managing employees and teams, with and without hierarchical possibilities
good command of the Dutch and English language.
Terms of employment
Depending on education and experience, the University offers a salary of a minimum of € 2,709 (scale 10 Collective Labor Agreement Dutch Universities) to a maximum of € 4,978 gross per month for full-time work (scale 11). It concerns an appointment for a period of one year with the prospect of an appointment for an indefinite period. The employment conditions are in accordance with the Collective Labor Agreement Dutch Universities.
