The Opportunity

Monash School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine is a teaching and research unit of the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences and is centred at the Alfred Hospital Campus. It plays a prominent role in public health medicine and works closely with the major Monash affiliated hospitals, research institutes and public health units within Victoria.

The Transfusion Research Unit (TRU) was formed at the beginning of 2010. TRU’s activities include registries and clinical trials to provide evidence for transfusion practice improvement and for management of important haematologic disorders.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Clinical Registries Project Manager is responsible for managing the delivery of the Transfusion Research Unit’s Clinical Registries Programs in partnership with the Operations Manager. Currently, the unit is responsible for 9 clinical registries across the area of transfusion and blood diseases.

As the successful candidate, you may lead your own clinical registry whilst supporting a team in the operation and management of the registry that they support. It is expected you will undertake tasks to streamline processes and practices across the registries whilst developing training programs to support the team in their practices.

In addition, you will work with the Operations Manager to support the negotiation of the registries’ contracts and budgets whilst monitoring the team achievement of key project milestones. You will need to work closely with registry investigators and project stakeholders, both internal and external, to support the division’s clinical registries in accordance with agreed timeframes, within budget, and to achieve strategic research outcomes.

If this sounds like a position that suits your current career focus we look forward to hearing from you.

This role is a full-time position; however, flexible working arrangements may be negotiated.

At Monash University, we are committed to being a Child Safe organisation. Some positions at the University will require the incumbent to hold a valid Working with Children Check.

Your application must address the selection criteria. Please refer to "How to apply for Monash Jobs".
