Project Coordinator - International Outreach (m/f/d)

About the role:

Constructor University hosts established academics and other professionals from Kazakhstan on a government-sponsored sabbatical program that provides them the opportunity to spend six to twelve months in an international university outside Kazakhstan. As Project Coordinator, you will lead the overall coordination of the Bolashak Program and other tasks and duties related to the international outreach department at Constructor University Bremen and participate substantively in its organizational management. This position requires a strategic thinker who thrives in academic environments, enjoys collaborating in diverse teams, has experience in cross-cultural communication, and excels at managing multifaceted projects.

Your responsibilities:

  • Program Development: Design the academic program for Bolashak interns, balancing academic and professional components

  • Personalized Guidance: Create individualized programs for interns tailored to their academic and professional needs, including identifying relevant courses

  • Scheduling & Structuring: Plan and organize the program calendar, events, and coursework

  • Supervision Management: Assign academic supervisors to interns and facilitate communication between them

  • Event Coordination: Organize academic events, field trips, meetings, and industrial site visits

  • Industry Collaboration: Build and maintain relationships with industry representatives to enrich the program

  • Instructor Support: Manage contracts for course instructors, assist in course development, and provide ongoing support

  • Intern Support: Offer academic and day-to-day guidance to interns, fostering their engagement and addressing their concerns

  • Feedback Management: Collect and respond to internal feedback, organizing discussions to enhance the program

  • Team Communication: Liaise with the Head of International Outreach, team members, and student assistants to ensure efficient project execution

Your qualifications:

Educational Background:

  • Ideally a Master's degree and relevant additional experience in working in a university

Experience:

  • Proven experience in an academic environment, preferably with program coordination or project management responsibilities

Skills:

  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with interns, team members, assistants, faculty, and external partners

  • Creative problem-solving and strategic thinking

  • Cultural sensitivity and adaptability, essential for working in a diverse, international setting

  • Flexibility of thinking and ability to deal with dynamic environments

  • English and German language skills are advantageous
