The person in this position will be supporting the refinement and expansion of the SciTrek program to include Santa Barbara City College (SBCC). This joint project between UCSB and SBCC will allow the candidate to work at both campuses; first at UCSB to learn the SciTrek program and then with SBCC to help establish the program. They will oversee the implementation and expansion of SciTrek modules at local Santa Barbara schools, focusing on 2nd through 6th grade classes. This will involve running the program in elementary classrooms, recruiting student volunteers, working with teachers and helping with grant administration.
