Job Description/Summary

Supply chain professionals play a critical role in ensuring quality products and services reach the Lasallian community. To achieve this, Supply Chain collaborates with offices/units to develop the demand forecast, and also with suppliers to ensure responsibly sourced materials.  In alignment with operations, Supply Chain balances inventory levels to establish the right supply of products/materials/services.  Then, responsible for safely storing and transporting products to meet the community’s needs are available in full at the right time and in the best condition.

Supply chain professionals can take many different paths — Demand and supply planning, Procurement, Physical logistics or Customer service.  Procurement professionals ensure responsibly-sourced supply and create value. A Procurement Officer provides a range of services, including the management of procurement for specific materials, products and other services, and is responsible for the following:

  1. Implementation and analysis of Procurement policies and procedures
  2. Review canvass reports, supplier and item costs for recommendation
  3. Review and maintain the inventory of canvass reports
  4. Ensures that the canvass reports are accurate, correct and meets all the required number of quotations needed in the canvassing process prior to the post canvass approval/evaluation of the requesting unit
  5. Completely process all online Purchase Requests prior to the issuance of online Purchase Order reference
  6. Perform such other duties and responsibilities analogous, germane or related to and/or implied from above enumeration of duties and responsibilities
