Operations Development Manager in Clinical Audit and Research

Do you have experience of clinical audit and would you be interested in joining a team whose work will ultimately impact on the future healthcare of critically ill children? Are you a highly organised and self-motivated individual who can take on the key role of managing and developing the Paediatric Intensive Care Audit Network (PICANet) project?

You will make key decisions on a day-to-day basis about priorities for the team and be responsible for the operational management of the project. Working with data providers, you will oversee the use of audit data for local quality improvement and the development of key performance indicators nationally to stimulate the use of audit data to drive healthcare quality improvement. You will manage the production and presentation of key reports and have a substantial role in guiding the technical developments required to achieve project goals.

Your effective communication and interpersonal skills will be essential in building rapport with NHS Trust staff and senior public health officials involved in monitoring and audit of healthcare provision. You will also have experience of working in a clinical or health-related audit/research environment and managing a complex large-scale project (ideally multicentre health related).

The ability to understand and interpret complex health data is vital as is the ability to write clear high quality reports based on analysis of that data. Familiarity with NHS HRA ethics procedures, data protection legislation and clinical/research governance is essential.
