The Department


The Communication Expertise Center (CEC) is one of the central services of the Eindhoven University of Technology. The CEC is responsible for the development and implementation of the TU / e communication policy and also supports faculties and services. The colleague we are looking for works in the research profiling domain and preferably has affinity with it. You work with colleagues on innovative research profiling. You have / form the vision of how you can put TU / e research online and take it further. You are therefore responsible for the effective use of the website (content and further development). Together with the online Marketing Marketing coordinator, you and the online strategist switch over broad developments, particularly on the website. You also work closely with our social media expert. You coordinate the handling of web questions about research profiling. You evaluate web analyzes and advise the team on a good online policy. You look from the outside in and in this way give the editors a different perspective on the website. Together with the decentralized editors in the faculties you further develop and implement.


Job requirements

For this fun position we are looking for a colleague who knows the answer to the question how we can best use our website in the ambitions that we have in disseminating our research stories and research news. A colleague who is able to operate at the intersection of online marketer and online communication officer / web editor. A thinker and doer, preferably with an affinity for scientific research. Your most important tasks are:


Website development and advice to the team based on data (analysis)
Make an inventory of internal online wishes in the field of research profiling
Drawing up the development roadmap for the research section in consultation with the research team leader and the web manager
Rearrange, optimize, create and post web content
Leading content (sub) projects for the Research part of tue.nl
Initiate, coordinate and implement parts from our content calendar
Management and improvement of online channels, especially tue.nl
Implementation and further development of content strategy
Professionalization of editors through advice and training
Editor of a number of strategically important pages within the domain research
You have initiative, you are entrepreneurial and you are able to easily build an internal network. You have knowledge of online developments and know how to use them effectively. Editorial skills are an advantage.


Conditions of employment

We are looking for a colleague for 0.8-1.0 FTE. Depending on age and experience, the salary is a minimum of € 2,835.00 and a maximum of € 4,274.00 gross per month (scale 10). This is a temporary appointment for a period of one year. In the event of proper functioning and unchanged financial circumstances, the appointment can be extended by one year.


In addition, we offer good secondary employment conditions, including a year-end bonus of 8.3%, holiday allowance of 8% and excellent sports facilities.
