The College is investing heavily in its property portfolio with a multi-million capital investment programme currently being delivered by the College’s Estates Projects Team.

Imperial College London Projects Team are seeking to make the key appointment of a Client-Side Minor Works Project Manager to fill a vacancy in the Projects Delivery Team.

Duties and responsibilities

Reporting to the Minor Works Programme Manager, the Minor Works Project Manager will play a key role in the delivery of the College's capital programme across its diverse portfolio of properties. You will personally manage a caseload of projects emanating from the programme ranging from small scale projects (above £150k) up to schemes valued around £500k, including refurbishment and new building projects across education, commercial, leisure, recreation and municipal buildings.

Essential requirements

With a relevant professional background, the successful candidate will have proven experience in the construction and property industry and will be seeking to further their career in a client-side project management role. This is an exciting opportunity to develop you career into a lead project manager role on a varied portfolio of projects so it is expected that prospective candidates will be bright, enthusiastic, highly motivated and with an aptitude to learn quickly. Experience of managing projects in live, operational buildings up to and in excess of £500k in value would be highly advantageous.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills together with an appetite to take on further responsibility are essential in this interesting and career enhancing role.

A degree equivalent qualification is desirable and membership of a relevant professional organisation is preferable.
