The Health Science Center (HSC) is looking for a Marketing Manager to serve as a member of the Marketing and Communications team. Job Summary
: The Marketing Manager works directly with the Assistant Vice President of Marketing and Communications to develop a strategic, comprehensive marketing agenda that supports the projection and advancement of the Texas A&M Health enterprise into the state, national and international spotlight as a preeminent thought leader in health, advocacy and scientific discovery. This position will create, collaborate and drive integrated owned, earned and paid media strategies that support institutional objectives with a focus on external audiences and consideration for both Health Science Center and college-level awareness that spans across dentistry, medicine, nursing, pharmacy and public health.

Required Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Five years of related experience in marketing and/or advertising.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications.
Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.

Preferred Education and Experience:

Experience working with diverse individuals and communities


Promotes and strengthens the overarching Texas A&M Health brand through content development and production of cohesive marketing collateral, across a full range of channels, including digital content (infographics, e-newsletters, imagery, video, web), social media, and print pieces (brochures, fact sheets, ads, and other promotional materials). Elevates search engine optimization (SEO) tactics through optimized copy and landing page recommendations, performs ongoing keyword research including discovery and expansion of keyword opportunities, and researches and implements content recommendations for organic SEO success. Oversees the creation, monitoring and updating of social media projects, pages and postings.
Serves as managing editor (photo/video) for integrated content initiative centered around the Health Science Center's online newsroom. Develops and manages an integrated content marketing initiative centered around social media, websites, online newsroom, and blogs to integrate cutting-edge tactics to include traditional and non-traditional media, and increase visibility of the institution with key audiences in support of overarching business goals.
Serves as a departmental project manager for institutional priorities, initiatives and large-scale projects.
Provides support for major event planning including milestone celebrations such as groundbreakings, building dedications, conferences or other events of significance.
Evaluates quarterly and annual owned, earned and paid media analytics used to identify ideal audiences, understand audience behavior, determine trending topics, adjust strategies and analyze the relationship between goals and metrics to measure success and plan for future initiatives..
Collaborates with college-based communicators to provide strategic guidance on internal and external marketing strategies.
Other duties as assigned; occasional weekend and evening work required.
