Why your role matters  

The Manager, System and Reporting leads a small team responsible for the enterprise-wide complaints Case Management System (CMS) and provides key stakeholders with access to accurate data and insights on complaints and investigations at UNSW. The role of Manager, System and Reporting is responsible for providing high-level technical business-led oversight of the implementation of a new CMS; managing the on-going operation and improvements of the CMS and reporting platforms to ensure it effectively meets business requirements; and providing data-driven insights to facilitate CIO strategic planning, resource management and performance measurement.

Who you are

  • A relevant tertiary qualification and substantial management experience leading and managing staff in the delivery of high-quality, client-focused systems and reporting solutions to stakeholders, or proven equivalent competency gained through a combination of education, training, or experience.
  • Strong technical skills with detailed knowledge of the maintenance of online systems, including data integration, networking, server management, data and system security, data governance and databases.
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain effective and constructive working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders; and ability to clearly convey ideas and information in a professional manner through presentations, written communication, and other means.
  • Extensive experience in leading and managing effective teams in the maintenance of data and reporting solutions across a variety of business applications.
  • High level organisational and project management skills with a demonstrated ability to manage a wide range of stakeholders in a deadline driven environment.
  • A strong track record in quickly developing an understanding of business processes, analysing business needs, extracting data from complex systems, analysing data, and developing data-based reports.
  • Demonstrated superior advisory, stakeholder management and negotiation skills, including the ability to liaise and build professional relationships with a variety of stakeholders and manage multiple stakeholders with often competing perspectives.
  • An understanding of and commitment to UNSW’s aims, objectives and values in action, together with relevant policies and guidelines.
  • Knowledge of health and safety responsibilities and commitment to attending relevant health and safety training.
