Position Overview

UCC wishes to appoint an experienced individual to the role of Doctoral Institute Manager. This senior professional services role has responsibility for the strategic coordination, operational leadership, and continuous development of doctoral education administration across the University.

The post holder will play a central role in the establishment, launch, and consolidation of the Doctoral Institute, providing leadership across the full doctoral lifecycle, including:

  • Admissions

  • Registration

  • Progression

  • Structured training

  • Examination

  • Data reporting

  • Student experience

It is anticipated that this position will be based on-site during the initial establishment phase of the institute, with the possibility of hybrid arrangements once the institute is fully operational.

Note: Garda vetting and/or an international police clearance check may form part of the selection process.

Salary

  • Appointment may be made on the Admin II Salary Scale:

    • Scale B: €72,044 - €91,259

    • Scale A: €68,551 - €86,698

  • Salary placement on appointment will be in accordance with public sector pay policy.
