Remuneration: HEW 10A - Base salary of $143,832 pa (plus 17% employer superannuation) and an annual incentive payment of up to a maximum of 10%

The Opportunity

An unparalleled opportunity exists for a Legal Operations Manager to lead administrative and operational practices within our Office of the General Counsel (OGC), who provide comprehensive, pragmatic legal services relating to issues of significant complexity or sensitivity for the University.

 

Reporting to the General Counsel and Deputy General Counsel, you will play an integral role in significantly supporting and advising key members of the legal administrative team within the OGC, empowering them to strive for success.

 

You will be transformative to the Office of the General Counsel’s strategic partnership activities, in developing and implementing an operational framework and an ongoing risk analysis framework. These instrumental pieces of work will ensure the OGC monitors and oversees compliance, identifies areas of potential legislative and policy-based risk, and works to continuously evaluate and refine its operations and performance.

 

Suited to an enthusiastic and fast-moving individual with exceptional consultative, relationship management skills, this role will lead the provision of authoritative advice, expertise and support to the administrative staff members and to key senior stakeholders.

 

As the successful candidate, you will have the proven ability to prioritise major projects and work to achieve outcomes within tight time-frames, whilst maintaining impeccable attention to detail and a high level of accuracy. Leveraging your experience in business, legal practice and/or legal operations management, you will utilise your expertise to deliver innovative solutions in order to enhance process and service delivery within the OGC. Your ability to lead a function to achieve strategic goals and objectives will be unmatched.
