Leadership Giving Officer

Do you want to join a high profile, collaborative and passionate fundraising team raising funds for a values driven university with ambitious aims to reduce inequality and shape a better future for humanity? Do you want to play a leading role in developing one of the University's priority fundraising programmes by creatively using a variety of communication methods to raise philanthropic gifts?

This is a unique opportunity to play an integral role in shaping the future of a key area of innovative fundraising at the University of Leeds. We would like you to enable us to realise our ambition to be sector leading in leadership giving fundraising. Building on the success of the programme to date, you will bring colleagues together to ensure that the office develops relationships with alumni who have the capacity to make gifts to the University of between £1,000 - £25,000. You will strategically employ a variety of methods including face to face, phone and video meetings as well as telephone campaigns and direct mail. You will develop creative and effective ways to engage, ask and thank these donors and shape a long-term strategy to improve their acquisition and retention. Through your engagement of these individuals you will also cultivate a small pipeline of future major donors. This will play a key role in a new strategy across the Alumni and Development team which ensures future major supporters receive specially tailored communications to deepen their engagement with Leeds prior to them being asked for a major gift.

With support of colleagues you will implement and deliver the current leadership giving strategy and as the programme grows you will help lead its longer term, data driven vision and strategy, ensuring that it is a growth income stream for the University.
