Duties and Responsibilities:

UCL is currently undertaking a transformation programme called TOPS.  TOPS (Transforming Our Professional Services) aims to provide UCL with excellent, integrated and efficient professional services to support our vision of academic excellence and help sustain our position as one of the top ten universities in the world. A key part of TOPS has been the creation of the Professional Services Hub (PS Hub) to bring together professional services staff responsible a variety of customer facing and service focused activities.


HR Services is responsible for providing an efficent and effective HR service delivery, working closely with UCL's academic faculties and  professional services divisions, to understand and collaborate on their priorities, opportunities and challenges.


The HR Services Support Desk Advisor will provide our customers with advice and guidance on UCL policies and processes across the employee lifecycle. This will involve delivering training sessions and holding targeted advice sessions. Additionally they will be responsible ensuring our published service standards are consistently met.


This is an open-ended role.

Key Requirements:

You will have proven experience and knowledge of HR processes and procedures combined with the communication skills to provide consistent, clear and often complex advice. An understanding of payroll processes is desirable. You will have the ability to work to tight deadlines, whilst supporting your peers and maintaining high levels of accuracy. A customer focused attitude and the ability to manage your own workload whilst working on your own initiative is key.
