About the position

The Faculty of Natural Sciences has a vacancy as an HR advisor / senior advisor at our HR / HSE section. We seek an experienced, motivated and committed HR advisor / senior advisor who can offer professional HR support to our managers and employees.


The faculty's HR function consists of 12 people who provide service to the entire organization. We work in a professional network with tasks within strategic HR and development of the organization, process development, recruitment, competence development and management support as well as operational tasks. We have a good and good working environment with a high solution focus. The position offers challenging work tasks in the development of the HR area, management development and support for other HR staff who require both independence and teamwork. The professional network is organized in professional teams and the position will have a special responsibility in developing competence planning and development at the faculty.




The position reports to section manager HR



The main work areas of the position:


develop and run HR processes at the faculty, participation in continuous development of processes and routines related to HR

competence planning and development

counseling and management support within the HR area

run recruitment processes

operational tasks and management of legislation and regulations related to various HR processes

other tasks within the HR field may be assigned to the position depending on the employee's competence and interests



eligibility Requirements

relevant education at the master's level. Relevant and extensive real-time competence can compensate for some lack of formal education.

good presentation skills in English and Norwegian, both written and oral

experience with investigation and process work in the HR area

Wanted qualifications

more than 5 years of experience in case processing, development and investigation work

experience with advice and management support

experience with development tasks / projects

good IT expertise, often on HR system and NTNU's support systems.

Salaries and terms

The position is placed as an HR advisor (code 1434) or a senior advisor (code1364), depending on qualifications, and is paid according to the state's salary regulations. From the salary, 2% of the statutory deposit is withdrawn from the Government Pension Fund.


The employment is carried out in accordance with the principles of the State Employees Act, and legislation regulating the export of knowledge, technology and services. After hiring, you must expect changes to the work area.
