Health and Safety Officer for Student Activity, Student Experience Office

Permanent Whole Time Post

UCC wishes to appoint to the role of Health and Safety Officer for Student Activity. Reporting to the Head of Student Life or nominee with a dotted reporting-line to the Corporate Secretary. The role involves the oversight, review and ongoing development of the policies and procedures to support robust risk management when it comes to student activities. Student activities comprise but are not limited to, events run by registered UCC sports clubs, UCC societies or the UCC Students’ Union. These activities occur primarily under the remit of the Student Experience Office in UCC, however the responsibilities of the role will also embrace student led activities across the University. The full remit of the responsibilities of the role going forward will be dependent on the ongoing development of policies and procedures governing health and safety of student activities in UCC.

Appointment may be made on the Admin III (Grade 6) Salary Scale: €52,068 - €62,166 (Scale B) / €49,576 - €59,156 (Scale A)

Salary placement on appointment will be in accordance with public sector pay policy.
