Activities

As coordinator Gender & Diversity Studies you coordinate the interfaculty organization of Gender & Diversity Studies in collaboration with the responsible professor. You are the key figure in the interfaculty network of gender and diversity studies. You maintain substantive, administrative and publicity contacts with colleagues, administrators and (potential) clients (students, social organizations). You follow internal and external developments in relevance to the discipline and on this basis you support policies and initiatives for interdisciplinary cooperation in the field of education and research. For example, you organize interdisciplinary seminars where researchers from different faculties meet and you coordinate interdisciplinary education. You make agreements with faculty programs about the deployment of teachers and you coordinate the Gender & Diversity Summer School. You also act as the official secretary of the interfaculty steering group and you take care of internal and external communication, including online content management.


Working environment

Radboud Gender & Diversity Studies is an interfaculty network with the aim of promoting, coordinating, integrating and conducting research, education and social services in the field of gender and diversity studies at Radboud University. The participating faculties are Social Sciences, Arts, Philosophy, Theology and Religious Studies, Law, Medical Sciences and Management Sciences. The core professor-director of Radboud Gender & Diversity Studies is Prof. Marieke van den Brink.


We expect

an academic level of work and thinking;
demonstrable experience with and knowledge of gender & diversity studies and interdisciplinary cooperation;
familiarity with the developments in the academic research and education field of gender & diversity studies and you are able to translate these developments into your own activities;
experience in a comparable coordinating or policy function and / or demonstrable experience in university administrative organizations;
affinity with IT systems and preferably experience with online content management;
that you are able to plan and organize well and are result-oriented;
that you are organization sensitive and have very good communication skills;
excellent oral and written proficiency in Dutch and English.

We offer

appointment: 0.7 fte;
maximum monthly salary € 4,274 gross based on a 38-hour working week (salary scale 10);
the salary depends on education and experience;
the salary does not include 8% holiday allowance and 8.3% year-end bonus;
contract duration: one year with the prospect of a permanent performance;
UFO job profile: Secretary, level 1.
