FINANCIAL OFFICER

Numerous financial management staff with good collaboration skills are sought for the Joint Secretariat for the Department of Materials and Production and the Department of Mathematical Sciences. To the Joint Secretariat for the Department of Materials and Production (MP) and the Department of Mathematical Sciences (MATH) we are looking for a strong financial management staff who can contribute with everything from daily financial and controller tasks to preparing analyzes and reporting for advice and support of the organization. . The position is full time and for occupation as of December 1, 2019 or soon thereafter.

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a financial management officer, your tasks will be to prepare budgets, budget follow-up and management information in close collaboration with your team and the department's finance manager. You will have a fixed portfolio of budget units for which you have reporting and follow-up responsibilities. Furthermore, you get your own portfolio of externally funded research projects, where you are the project manager's sparring partner. You will also be given responsibility for development tasks in the team - and hopefully you are the department's front runner in the digitization process.

We are looking for a new colleague who:

  • has a relevant higher education at the graduate level.

  • has some years of experience from a similar position in private or public business.

  • have good collaborative skills, are confident and motivated by teamwork.

  • can work independently and development-oriented and is good at prioritizing tasks so that deadlines are met.

  • possesses good communication skills in Danish and English, both orally and in writing, and can convey complex issues in an easily understandable way.

  • has good digital skills and is used to working with reporting tools, such as Excel, etc.

  • appreciate good humor, a positive attitude to life and cherish the collegiate environment.

About us

The Joint Secretariat for the Department of Materials and Production (MP) and the Department of Mathematical Sciences (MATH) support research, teaching and knowledge collaboration at the two institutes and collaborate closely with the scientific staff. Read more about the two institutes on the websites: www.mp.aau.dk and www.math.aau.dk 

In the secretariat, we focus on professional and efficient administration, we work in teams and focus on good collaboration, where the focus is always on standardizing and digitizing processes. We have a total of 24 administrative staff divided into three teams. The vacant position belongs to the Finance and Project team, which consists of a total of nine employees. In addition, we work closely with our colleagues and broadly with the institutes' management and other employees.

SALARY AND TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

 

Employment and remuneration according to agreement for academics in the State. Supplements are available for the position. Qualification allowance is available for negotiation.

There are 3 months of mutual probation in the position.
