Duties and Responsibilities:


The Bartlett School of Architecture is one of the most influential, exciting and innovative architecture schools in the world, setting the agenda for what architecture is and could be. The school ranks consistently in the top three places to study and research architecture in the world, and for fifteen consecutive years has been named the best architecture school by Architects’ Journal AJ100. 

This is a busy, rewarding role in a fast-paced environment. The post holder will provide high-level support to senior academic staff namely the Chair, Bartlett Professor of Architecture and the Director of The Bartlett School of Architecture. 

Key responsibilities will include, diary management, arranging meetings, event managing and liaising with a wide variety of people both internal and external to the school and UCL. A unique element of the post will focus around developing the existing sponsorship activities under the direction of the Director of School. The post holder will form part of a dedicated team of capable and efficient Professional Services staff who work together in delivering the core Administrative functions across the School.

Key Requirements:


We are seeking candidates with proven experience of providing effective PA or Secretarial support in a complex organisation, including the effective management of a complicated diary system. In addition, candidates will have experience of servicing and taking notes at committees and meetings, coupled with and ability to accurately transcribe these into minutes’ or reports. 

Good interpersonal skills are essential as this role involves organising and planning key events alongside working effectively and building sound relationships with a wide range on people across the school and wider UCL. As well as being proficient in the use of MS Office packages the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the ability to meet tight individual and group deadlines and to manage their workload through effective prioritising, time management and organisational skills.
