In a college as large as Broad, and even with ongoing communication efforts, it is often difficult for a student to be aware of these opportunities; even if aware, students miss understanding how these opportunities support their development. However, employers, corporate partners and alumni have all spoken unanimously about the importance of these co-curricular activities in securing internships, full-time placement, and overall career progress. Broad360 is a student engagement platform powered by Suitable and accessed on mobile phones that aggregates student engagement opportunities in an appealing and interactive environment. Broad360 comprises a growing number of badges where each badge is made up of a set of required and/or elective activities. The badges are linked to our Assurance of Learning competencies, NACE competencies, and other important college themes. Students are recognized and rewarded through the completion of badges. Creating greater visibility and opportunity for student engagement is critical for our Broad students to more fully understand the linkage between their coursework and their professional development. We firmly believe that increasing visibility and access to such activities will strengthen the Broad undergraduate community where students will hold greater expectations around what they can and should accomplish outside the classroom during their MSU career. While the Broad College supports and encourages a flex schedule which incorporates day/time flexibility as well as work from home opportunities, our students are on-campus and local to East Lansing. As such, this is not a fully remote position. The minimum salary for this position is $75,000. Consideration will be given for years of experience.
