Application WindowOpen April 1st, 2022 through Monday, May 16, 2022 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Position descriptionJob Description The Director of Scientific Communications will have key roles in engaging and educating the public through outreach activities, development and delivery of educational presentations, marketing and communications including social media, and developing and maintaining community relationships and partnerships. The successful candidate will be immediately responsible for 1) developing written communications on behalf of the Institute (newsletters, website / blogs, social media posts, etc.); 2) development/delivery of community educational presentations; 3) managing all UCI MIND community education/outreach activities, including planning/oversight of the annual research conferences; 4) developing and maintaining community relationships and partnerships; 5) hosting programming such as live scientific program broadcast on the web and social media; 6) performing research on research recruitment and retention; 7) analyzing data, writing, editing, and submitting work to peer reviewed journals and 8) overseeing junior staff members and trainees.
