The University of California, Davis, School of Medicine, Division of Cardiovascular Medicine seeks candidate for an Associate Professor level in the non-tenure academic clinician track. This position will serve as the Director for Lead Extraction Program and will work towards building a robust lead-extraction program. Expertise is required in the specific area of atrial fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, implantation of bi-ventricular pacemakers/ICDs, and pacemaker including ICD lead extraction. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with a diverse group of cardiologists, physicians, and nurse coordinators in one of the most highly regarded Cardiovascular Program in the United States.

Cardiovascular Medicine Faculty responsibilities include direct inpatient and outpatient clinical care; teaching medical students, residents, and fellows; university/public service; and regular attendance at scheduled meetings and CME activities. The incumbent should be able to provide expert clinical care in the fields of general cardiology, electrophysiology. The applicant should exhibit excellent interpersonal skills, ability to foster collegiality and collaboration in a diverse environment is required.

Candidates must have an MD degree or equivalent, be board-eligible/certified in Cardiac Electrophysiology and be eligible for licensure in the State of California. Cardiovascular Medicine training at a recognized training program is expected.
