Director of Department of Neurology (University of Chicago)

Description The University of Chicago's Department of Neurology is searching for a full-time neuro-oncologist faculty member at any rank for the role of Medical Director of Neuro-Oncology. As Medical Director, the appointee will: Oversee growth in the neuro-oncology program Participate in strategic planning with the neuroscience service line leaders Collaborate with leaders in Neurosurgery, Radiation Oncology, and Hematology/Oncology Maintain and oversee an active outpatient clinic In collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, the appointee will draw on the environment and the mission of the Cancer Center to participate in novel research programs and lead clinical trials offered to the surrounding community and beyond. Other duties include teaching and supervision of medical students, residents, and fellows. It is anticipated that this position can spend time both in Hyde Park, home to a new free-standing Cancer Hospital, and at other ambulatory care sites, including Northwest Indiana, south suburbs of Chicago, and downtown Chicago.
