About the Role The Academic Director of the PGCHE programme will: Manage modules for new academics across faculties for qualification/accreditation to teach in the UK higher education system. Deliver programme material and assessments. PGCHE is accredited by Advance HE, and successful completion leads to Associate Fellow or Fellow status of the Higher Education Academy (HEA). Develop bespoke teacher training workshops and programmes for local educators, and expand nationally and internationally. Establish UNNC as a leader in global teacher training and professional development. Seek grants and lead research projects in local and global teacher training. Contribute to Faculty of Humanities and Social Science (FHSS) Area Studies research initiatives. Collaborate with UNNC’s UNESCO Office and the University of Nottingham, UK’s UNESCO Chair. About You Candidates must: Hold a doctoral degree in education, language education, teacher education, curriculum and instruction, or a closely related field. Hold HEA Senior Fellow status (or higher). Have recent experience developing and delivering teacher training and professional development workshops. Demonstrate excellence in higher education administration. Possess a strong record of global research and grant capture, especially in teacher training and professional development. The position will be filled at an appropriate point on the Associate Professor level salary scale, based on prior experience and academic rank.
