Job SummaryThe Miramontes Arts & Sciences Program (MASP) is seeking a Program Director for our Science Bound Program for July/Aug 2025 and the Academic Year 2025-2026. The Science Bound Program Director will be responsible for: collaborating with MASP and the Division of Natural Sciences to sustain the mission of the program, leading and overseeing the program as a whole, teaching the Science Bound courses, and mentoring students in the Science Bound cohorts.
The appointment is rostered in College of Arts & Sciences as a 100% Assistant Teaching Professor position (non-tenure track, 9-month appointment). Additional time will be required during part of the summer, and additional summer salary will be available for the duties that require time outside of the 9-month appointment.
The appointment will initially be for two years, with the possibility of renewal thereafter. The position has a start date of July 15, 2025. The position requires being in-person and on campus during the 9-month academic year and some parts of the summer. Who We AreThe Miramontes Arts & Sciences Program (MASP) is an academic community in the College of Arts & Sciences comprised of motivated students dedicated to pursuing academic excellence at CU Boulder. MASP supports first-generation college students and/or students who want to be part of an inviting, multicultural academic enrichment community. MASP is a cooperative and collaborative program that offers a participation scholarship and dedicated space for activities, advising, studying, and seminars.
Science Bound is a one-year program for first-year students within MASP who are majoring and/or interested in the Natural Sciences. Science Bound focuses on: building a strong and inviting community among students who have similar academic interests, helping students develop their scientific literacy and professional skills early in their academic career, and connecting students to opportunities in their area of interest. In addition to academic and programming support, Science Bound students receive both faculty and peer mentoring. The program is implemented in collaboration between MASP and the Division of Natural Sciences.

What We Can OfferWe can offer an academic year salary (100% Assistant Teaching Professor) at $65,622. For duties extending past the academic year, we can provide additional summer salary on an hourly basis according to the pay scale for an instructor in the Natural Sciences (may vary by year).
