Duties and Responsibilities
The Department of Security and Crime Science is dedicated to equipping current and future professionals working in the crime and security field with the knowledge and skills they will need to meet the challenges of the 21st century.

The Departmental Manager (DM) will manage the operational infrastructure of the department to support teaching, research, administration and other departmental activities through assuming responsibility for general and specific duties to progress the work of the Department and the wider institution.

The successful applicant will be involved in the following areas:

•Strategic development and planning 
•Operational management and services
•Human resources and staff management
•Finance and resource management
•Research services and teaching support services.
Key Requirements
We are looking for someone who has a record of successful line management and development of staff with proven team leadership and motivational skills. 

You will also need excellent financial skills (financial management systems, budgeting, financial reporting and analysis), with demonstrable experience of effective budgetary management and control.
