Position Title

Clinical Research Coordinator – Psychiatry – Behavioral Medicine – Neacsiu Lab


Research Program Overview

The goal of this research program is to utilize Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) for a variety of indications. The role involves being trained as a TMS Technician and collaborating with multiple faculty and staff from Psychiatry and Neurology.


Minimum Requirements

  • Completion of an Associate’s degree
  • Minimum of two years of relevant research experience
  • Completion of the DOCR North Carolina state approved Clinical Research Apprenticeship program may substitute for one year of required experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience conducting face-to-face participant research visits
  • Prior experience with TMS

Position Description

Primary job responsibilities include:

  • Study start-up and close-out for ongoing grant applications funded for the lab
  • Conducting clinical assessments with patients and non-clinical controls
  • Coding psychotherapy sessions for adherence under supervision
  • Learning to administer neuromodulation and transauricular vagal stimulation and administering them as needed for research studies
  • Running experimental visits involving EEG, neuroimaging, and psychophysiological data collection
  • Learning how to clean and extract psychophysiological data using Acknowledge software and Biopac hardware
  • Supporting the RPL with regulatory tasks and data uploads to relevant funding agencies
  • Recruiting participants and screening them for various studies

Compensation

Anticipated Pay Range

USD $59,829.00 to USD $99,960.00 annually
