Position Summary

The selected applicant will:

Determine the state of internationalization of K-12 and postsecondary-level curriculum in the University and the State of Indiana. Support faculty in developing international modules and materials for education courses. Assist faculty in expanding University education programs to include international studies centers. Promote the preparation and credentialing of more foreign language teachers in less commonly taught languages to help meet existing and expected future K-12 language program needs. Support the implementation of high-quality language instruction in K-12 schools by providing proficiency-based pedagogy training for language teachers. Work with relevant faculty and staff to conceptualize and facilitate professional development workshops to support teachers and administrators in K-12 schools in Indiana to internationalize the curriculum. Provide pedagogical skills and instructional resources. Encourage internationalization efforts in classrooms and schools, including the evaluation of these initiatives annually. Assist University faculty and staff to create a university-wide global education certification. Work with faculty to design professional development workshops to support in-service teachers and school administrators in developing global awareness and competence.

Basic Qualifications

PhD in International Education or related field. Experience with internationalization of K-12 and postsecondary-level curriculum development. Experience in pedagogical training of world language instructors. Project management and grant writing experience required.
