WWU Münster is a public corporation and with around 45,000 students and around 7,115 employees one of the largest universities in Germany. It is together with the university hospital the largest employer of the Münsterland.


In the press and information center of the WWU Münster is as soon as possible a job as

Content Manager * in

to occupy. The weekly working time is currently 39 hours, 50 minutes. The position is limited to three years. The classification takes place depending on task assignment and fulfillment of personal requirements up to salary group 12 TV-L.


The press office is responsible for the internal and external communication of the university. This includes sending press releases, responding to media inquiries, and publishing the university newspaper wissen.leben, aimed at students and employees, but also at all friends and supporters of the WWU. In addition, the editorial office of the press office is responsible for the editorial support of the central website.


Your tasks:

  • Conceptual and operative cooperation in the online editorial department (structure, content, layout)
  • Interface between editorial staff and technology as well as between editorial office and design agency
  • Organization and implementation of web projects (structure, content, layout, controlling)
  • User support CMS and consulting of departments and institutes in the planning and implementation of web projects
  • Defining requirements for the technical quality of our web sites and coordination with the Information Processing Center
  • Organization of layout adjustments for central applications for seamless integration into the central web offers of EMU
  • Demand and usage analyzes, search engine optimization
  • Monitoring compliance (online law, privacy)
  • Documentation of the corporate web design and the tools used


Your profile:

  • completed (specialized) university studies
  • preferably work experience in an (online) editorial office
  • Experience in content and structure planning for websites from the user perspective
  • Experience in managing and managing change-prone projects
  • deeper understanding of the technical basics of functional screen designs
  • basic knowledge and experience with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator (svg)
  • good English knowledge
  • a high degree of communication skills, openness, teamwork and service orientation
  • Self-initiative, confident appearance and a strong organizational ability
