The Citizen Science Center Zurich (CC-CS) is looking for a tech-savvy Community Manager to join our team at the Citizen Science Center. If you are a "people person", have experience in social media, you have exceptional oral and written communication skills, and you have a keen interest in science, you are our ideal candidate.

In this position, you will nurture our Citizen Science community, including scientists and citizens. You will oversee and moderate community communications both online and offline, and keep the conversations with - and within - our community alive and interesting by contributing engaging content. You will organize local events and act as the face and voice of the center at the local level.

Your responsibilities

  • Write blog posts, articles, newsletters, and other communications materials to boost awareness of the Center's activities.
  • Create, manage and grow the Center's presence on social media through contributing engaging text, image and video content.
  • Organize and run events and activities to build and grow the local community.
  • Manage incoming media requests and Coordinate with UZH and ETH Communications teams to ensure strategies alignment.
  • Use analytics and other measurement tools to provide reports on community and social metrics.
  • Keep up-to-date with digital technology trends.

Your profile

  • Experience organizing community activities online and offline (e.g. online forum, event organization, newsletters)
  • Experience with social media
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (fluent in German and English)
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Experience with Citizen Science projects is a plus.
