Cluster Coordinator special consultant for ISBUC - a cross-faculty community of research within integrative structural biology at University of Copenhagen is looking for a Cluster Coordinator from 15th August 2021. About us ISBUC – Integrative Structural Biology at the University of Copenhagen – is a cross-disciplinary cluster counting more than 50 scientists engaged in structural biology related research from across the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences and the Faculty of Science. ISBUC stirs cross-disciplinary collaborations both within the University and with external partners in industry and academia. The cluster was founded four years ago, and currently, the cluster facilitates sharing of equipment and knowledge through a common web-portal (www.isbuc.ku.dk) as well as regular workshops, a junior ISBUC chapter and an annual scientific meeting. ISBUC wishes to consolidate its current activities and increase its interaction among its members at all levels. Long term plans include development of summer courses and more formalized industrial collaborations adding value to the individual researchers and groups. Tasks As cluster coordinator, your job will be to support, facilitate and consolidate the activities in the cluster in close collaboration with the steering committee and the scientists in the cluster. This will include improving the collaborative framework within the participating departments and between academia and relevant companies. Your tasks will include coordination and management of ISBUC meetings, workshops and seminar series continued contacts and coordination between PIs of ISBUC as well as between junior ISBUC members maintaining and developing the ISBUC homepage including bimonthly newsletters liaising with relevant partners in industry to sustain and expand the network of ISBUC updating Social media platforms with ISBUC activities supporting the development of ISBUC into a self-sustained research cluster also through grant applications We expect that you have at least a master degree in for example natural sciences, health and medical sciences or engineering enjoy and thrive in coordinating and linking people and projects have ample experience in managing multiple and diverse projects at different stages and can maintain a panorama overview of all ISBUC activities are confident in using electronic platforms such as content management (CMS) systems or similar web interfaces can communicate in a clear and timely fashion, also on social media have a high degree of self-direction and pro-activity have demonstrated comprehensive English oral and writing skills Previous interaction with external funding agencies or industry partners is advantageous We offer An exciting opportunity at the largest university in Denmark coordinating the integrative structural biology cluster bridging the Faculty of Science and the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences. The salary is currently between DKK 237,920.54 – 289,911.24 (28 hours, academic employee) and DKK 376,105.84 (28 hours, special consultant) plus pension contribution and the possibility to negotiate further supplement.
