Clinical Studies Officer/Research Nurse (Part-time, fixed-term)
This is an exciting opportunity to join the ANCHOR (Management of Ankle fractures in Children) Study as a Clinical Studies Officer (CSO) or Research Nurse. With the chief investigator and trainee CI, you will be the primary contact for study participants at sites in the Nottingham area. You will be responsible for recruiting children into the study and supporting trial participation and follow-up, including liaising with fracture clinic, assessing children’s eligibility to take part in the study and obtaining informed consent from parents. You will get the opportunity to work on other trials if workload allows. The post may require some travelling between research sites. You should either have a Degree or equivalent in health or social science or similar scientific discipline OR extensive experience and a proven track record in a relevant work environment. If the successful applicant is a qualified nurse they will be employed as a Research Nurse - applicants without a nursing qualification will be appointed as a Clinical Studies Officer. The post is fixed-term until 31 March 2022. Hours of work are part-time (18 hours per week).
