Research Nurse/Clinical Studies Officer (fixed term/part time)
A part-time Research Nurse/Clinical studies Officer is required to join the Treat to Target in Gout Study. You will be the primary contact point for the participants taking part in the East Midlands. In this role, you will be responsible for recruiting people with gout into the study, coordinating study clinics, data collection and governance. This will involve liaising with NHS staff in primary-care, clinical assessments, collecting blood, and obtaining informed consent. The research post involves travelling to GP surgeries in the East Midlands. In keeping with good-team working you will be expected to help other members of the research team in the unit working on other similar research projects. You should have a degree or equivalent in nursing or health or a relevant scientific discipline; or experience and proven track record in a relevant work environment. If the successful applicant is a qualified nurse they will be employed as a Research Nurse - applicants without a nursing qualification will be appointed as a Clinical Studies Officer.
