Universiteitsdienst - Campus and Real Estate

You will work here

Did you know that TU Delft scores high when it comes to employee satisfaction? There is therefore a positive and future-oriented atmosphere with us. And we are growing strongly: both when it comes to groundbreaking research and student numbers. You work at the Campus and Real Estate management. In an environment that challenges and inspires, we continuously renew the campus that is among the largest and most innovative in the world. Partly thanks to you, the TU Delft campus is also becoming an increasingly green park environment where it is pleasant to work, study and relax. You work closely with your twenty colleagues, all enthusiastic and enthusiastic professionals who are enthusiastically open to new ideas. You may also manage the junior project managers.

Job description

Did you know that around 30,000 people work and study at TU Delft every day? And that the campus is 161 hectares larger than the center of Delft? For you as a civil engineering project manager, the challenges are there for the taking. For example, redesigning an area of tens of hectares above and below ground. Or the replacement of the sewer system. You are responsible from a to z for one of the large-scale and complex civil projects.

You are going to do this

Do you like a challenge? Beautiful. Because for us in the coming years a huge development task is planned: several faculty buildings with associated area developments. It is your turn when it comes to preparing the area for construction, the underground infrastructure of cables and pipes and the redesign of the outdoor space such as parking spaces, public lighting and the greenery. You are already at the table with our developers in order to provide your input. Together you work on putting down the project and you come up with a proposal for the organization and organization of the project.

Do you get a 'go'? Then you are in the lead from the design phase of the project up to and including delivery and evaluation. This way you put together a strong project team of colleagues from the Development & Maintenance departments. You organize tenders and, for example, you contract engineering bureaus, consultants and contractors. And you continuously inform those involved. You can imagine the impact if a part of the campus cannot be used for nine months. That is why you constantly keep track of the progress reports and create support within the organization.

What makes your work at TU Delft so special? To begin with, that we - and that is unique - are the owners and managers of all our buildings, subsurface and outdoor space. So you connect one-to-one with the users: the scientists and the management. At the same time, external organizations are also present on campus that have their own cables and gas suppliers. There are often multiple interests and priorities and many projects running at the same time. You keep the overall overview, try to link your projects, monitor the overall planning and continuously check whether the guidelines and procedures are being followed.

You have this at home

A higher professional or university degree in civil engineering, technical business administration or public administration or comparable .

Minimum five years of experience as a project manager in civil engineering or public space.

Knowledge of project management and current methodologies.

Good planning and organizational skills.

Persuasiveness, empathy and feeling for the different interests in the organization, in which you know how to mediate.

Good command of Dutch, both orally and in writing.

Conditions of employment

We offer this

A salary of € 4,406 to € 5,656 gross per month.

Excellent pension plan.

A year-end bonus of 8.3%.

View of a permanent contract.

The possibility to compile part of your employment conditions package yourself.

41 days off with a 40-hour working week.

The space to work at flexible times and / or at home.

Partially paid parental leave (after 1 year). Participation in the Health Coach Program of TU Delft.
